A second housebuilder has committed to a major new housing scheme in the East Midlands being delivered by Clowes Developments.

Redrow East Midlands is to develop properties at the £800 million Fairham scheme, which will create a new neighbourhood in Nottinghamshire.

In total, the scheme will see 3,000 new homes built.

Robert Hepwood, land and planning director at Derbyshire-based Clowes, said: “We welcome Redrow to Fairham and look forward to them making good progress on the first new homes for this new neighbourhood.

“We are now starting to see increased activity across the site and over the coming 12 months we will be progressing work at pace by working closely with our development partners to bring more high-quality homes and infrastructure to fruition.”

Earlier this year, Countryside confirmed it would be delivering more than 300 new homes at the Fairham site.
