Several Marketing Derby Bondholders have enjoyed success at the annual Mainframe Awards.

Staged online, the awards were organised by Mainframe, an initiative based at QUAD that aims to bring together a community of digital and creative businesses across Derby and Derbyshire.

Hosted live by Adam Buss, chief executive of QUAD, along with the Mainframe team, which consists of Charlene Sharp and Hana York, the awards, which took place on Tuesday night, celebrated talented digital and creative businesses and individuals.

One of the big winners on the night was digital creative agency Think3.

The company carried off a brace of awards – winning the Best Creative and Digital Start Up award, while the firm’s Gaz Jones triumphed in the Emerging Digital/Creative Star (Under 25) category.

Another popular winner on the night was Dawne Foote and the team from Katapult, who triumphed in the Putting Derby and Derbyshire on the Map category.

The company was recognised for helping to conceive and deliver the Market Place alfresco dining experience last summer. The popular venue, which allows people to eat and drink in a Covid-safe environment, has recently reopened.

Computer games firm Bulkhead Interactive was named Best Digital/Creative Upscaler, while Sarah Bulmer, from Derby Days Out (BH), won the Creativity for Good Award.

Yvonne Gorman, from Essential Print Services, was named the Digital/Creative Ambassador of the Year Award. This particular award was voted for by members of the creative community.

And freelancer Luke Smith carried off the Unsung Hero Award for his work with Treetops Hospice.

Other shortlisted Bondholders across the categories included Crafty You Crafty Me, Project D, Derby County Community Trust, Darley Dance Productions and QUAD.
