Marketing Derby’s latest edition of Innovate Magazine is out this week – and the theme is ‘green’.

The spring edition of the glossy publication, which provides a window into the amazing and inspiring Derby and Derbyshire business sector, has a particular focus on the environment – and the efforts being made to lead a ‘green’ industrial revolution.

It features Derby City Council’s ambitions for the city to become a ‘centre of excellence’ for future fuels technology, with the help of our major firms and educational institutions.

It also examines how Derby is seeking to transform its transport infrastructure with sustainable and innovative new ideas to keep people on the move.

It looks at how the city’s long-neglected waterways could be used to help shape a brighter, cleaner and more prosperous future.

Innovate also meets Dr Chris Bussell, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Derby, who is also overseeing an exciting new project, which aims to help transition Derby’s urban landscape to a more environmentally sustainable future.

Staying true to the green theme, this edition’s Talking Business debate sees local business leaders discuss the region’s ability to tackle climate change.

Elsewhere, the magazine features in-depth interviews with Derby College Group CEO Mandie Stravino and Kul Mahay, of Ignite Your Inner Potential, who after a successful career with the police, is now on a new mission to inspire others.

Innovate also takes some time out with Sarah Markham, founder of Calm in a Box, who is inspiring people to live healthier, happier lives.

And in this edition, the winners and runners-up of the latest Marketing Derby Rising Stars competition are profiled.

Finally, our managing director, John Forkin, talks about why now is the right time to fully acknowledge one of Derby’s most famous sons – Joseph Wright.

Hard copies of the spring edition of Innovate are being delivered to Bondholders from this week.

However, the digital version of the magazine can be accessed here.
