Armsons’ key role in school expansion

Derby-based cost consultants, quantity surveyors and project managers Armsons is playing a key role in the expansion of a Derbyshire school.

The firm is involved in the project to create a new study space and sports pavilion at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, in Ashbourne.



Armsons has been involved in the concept design stage with the design team, along with the cost planning and the planning application process prior to progressing the procurement. It is also managing the budget on behalf of the school.

Sally Walters, director at Armsons, who is also a former pupil at the school, said: “We’re pleased that Armsons has been selected to be part of the project team for this development.

“It’s great to be involved in a scheme that will improve the facilities for the pupils at the school and the 200 children who play in local teams.

“Armsons has provided consultancy advice and cost planning for other development projects in the education sector and is looking forward to delivering this fantastic new facility to the Ashbourne community.”
