Yappl reaffirms commitment to cricket club

Derbyshire County Cricket Club has again named Yappl as its mobile telecommunications partner until the end of 2022.

Yappl, the business-to-business arm of Alfreton-based A1 Comms, supplies EE-connected mobiles to the club’s playing, coaching and operational team.

The new sponsorship deal cements a relationship with the cricket club that stretches back over many years.

Yappl managing director Steve Heald said: “We’re delighted to support other businesses, particularly ones with such deep community affiliations as Derbyshire County Cricket Club, which is marking its 150th anniversary.

“We also know how hard the cricket club works on bringing local businesses together through initiatives such as its 1870 Business Club.”

Ryan Duckett, Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s chief executive, said: “We have had a brilliant long-term relationship with A1 Comms, which is further strengthened through our partnership with Yappl.

“It is a boost to know we will be moving forward with them over the next two years.”
