Mock assessments plea
Derby City Council is encouraging local employers to come forward and act as assessors for a virtual mock assessment centre for students in the city who are considering an apprenticeship.
Organised by The Early Talent Consultancy, the virtual assessment centre aims to offer students the different activities that are normally in a physical one.
They will practice using the technology that businesses are used to, meet local employers and gain feedback on areas of their development.
The aim is to improve their employability skills and help maximise their chances of future success.
Assessors are now needed for full-day and half-day sessions due to take place in March – and local employers are being urged to come forward and help.
Assessors will be asked to provide feedback to students, including areas for their development. Assessment materials, along with guidance, will be provided.
