New Bondholder App4 Developments' recent appointments are supporting the food and drink industry as it turns to new technology.

Due to the huge cultural change in British food ordering habits, the Derby app development company's technology is being used by hundreds of companies to enable customers to order food and drink remotely.

Its bespoke apps, used by pub and takeaway chains, open-air venues and many others have helped its clients emerge stronger after the Covid-emergency lockdown.

Dee Wood, Jack Thompson, Laura Pipes and Steve Knight

The first appointment made by App4 was Steve Knight, the company’s sales and marketing director, who has worked in the online food ordering industry across Europe for eight years.

Dee Wood is App4’s new business development manager, having worked in the fitness industry for 24 years, latterly running a regional operation of a major market player.

Jack Thompson has joined as web designer and developer having built up expertise in the field over five years, while Laura Pipes joins as administrator after a career which has mainly been in estate agents.

Ian Chambers, managing director and co-founder of App4, which is based at fellow Bondholder Connect Derby’s Sadler Bridge Studios, said: “We are working really hard to offer solutions to a huge variety of businesses who find themselves in a new world.

“We are delighted to say that they are realising the benefits which our bespoke app technology can bring and are amazed at how positively their customers are reacting to it.

“Thanks to the numbers of orders we are now receiving, we are thrilled to be able to offer more jobs and have hired superb people. We hope these will be the first of many.”
