Bondholder Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK has announced a series of open days at its Burnaston factory for prospective candidates hoping to join its 2021 apprenticeship programme.

The firm, which makes the Corolla at its Derbyshire plant, is looking to take on production and maintenance apprentices next year.

Production apprentices are given a 12-month training period, during which they develop the practical skills and theory to become a member of the production team, working on the fast-paced Corolla line.

Maintenance members develop and maintain equipment so the production team can produce the Corolla to perfect standards every time. Through the 44-month programme, candidates develop the technical skills and theory required to become a competent member of the maintenance team.

Prospective candidates are now being invited to visit Burnaston, where they can meet some of the team and get a taste of what it would be like training and working at the site.

The open days for production apprentices will take place on Tuesday, 10th November and Thursday, 19th November. The maintenance apprenticeship dates are Monday, 9th November and Wednesday, 18th November.

The Burnaston site is adhering strictly to Covid-19 guidelines. For more details or to book a place visit recruitment.toyotauk.com.
