University ranks number one
Whilst huge numbers of students graduate from the University of Derby this week, the institution has also been ranked number one out of 43 for student support in the Autumn 2015 International Student Barometer (ISB) for the second year running.
Gathering feedback from over 2.3 million students worldwide, the ISB is the leading benchmarking tool used to track international student experience and compares the decision-making, expectations, perceptions and intentions of international students from application to graduation.
The University of Derby was also ranked number 1 out of 85 in the Global Benchmark for Faith Provision category as well as being ranked in the top four in the UK for Formal Welcome, First Night, Local Orientation and Residential Assistance.
Nick Slade, Director of International Development at the University of Derby said: “We are delighted that we have been recognised for the first class student experience we provide to our international students.”
He continues: “We work very hard to make all those small improvements every year that add up to something that makes a real tangible difference. Derby is a very welcoming university and we know that by helping students settle in they can focus on their studies and achieve their potential.”
