Embassy Does the Business
Last night saw the Derby City Embassy take place in the Institute of Directors on Pall Mall in London.
Attended by over 100 delegates the evening showcased Derby as a place on the verge of significant change.
Following introductions from Martin Rawson, Deputy Leader of Derby City Council and John Forkin, Managing Director of Marketing Derby, attendees heard from Andrew Carter (Deputy Chief Executive at Centre for Cities) and Adam Challis (Head of UK Residential Research at JLL).
Delegates also heard from businesses who have chosen to locate in Derby recently.
David Beech, CEO of Bondholder Knights Professional Services Ltd said the company chose Derby as it's “growing, exciting and a place it can attract talented professionals.”
The clear message received by all attendees was that Derby is about to bring some major development sites to the market and that the success of companies already in the city reinforces the trends seen by analysts – that Derby is a place to do business.
