Bondholder Webhelp UK has taken on new client, EE, to create 500 new jobs at their site on Pride Park which already employs a workforce of 1,200.

The Derby City Council Regeneration Fund has been used to help recruit and train new employees. Bondholder Webhelp UK’s CEO, David Turner, said: “Derby has been a tremendous success story for us – and we are getting closer and closer to operating at full capacity.”

Officials from both Webhelp UK and EE were at the opening of the new centre including Chief Executive of EE, Olaf Swantee.

“We were attracted to Derby because it has a pool of very talented people who have a good understanding of technology. It is home to Rolls-Royce, Bombardier and Toyota. We are ahead of schedule in terms of the re-shoring of jobs and more will be on the way.”
