Repton

A Repton education blends a heritage dating back to 1557 with the pursuit of excellence in a 21st century context, offering world-class facilities as well as high-quality teaching and pastoral care.

Repton School is a flourishing community with a clear sense of purpose and momentum. Repton recently merged with Foremarke Hall to create Repton Prep, thus providing co-educational boarding and day education from 3 – 18.

With over 1,000 pupils split between the senior school and prep school, Repton is large enough to achieve excellence in and out of the classroom, yet small enough for individuals to flourish and develop. Alongside outstanding academic results the School also enjoys an international profile in sport, in particular in hockey and football.

Old Reptonians include: Author Roald Dahl; Olympic gold medal winning hockey player Georgie Twigg; Actor Tom Chambers; former Archbishop of Canterbury Michael Ramsey; and Adrian Newey, Formula One engineer.

The School’s considerable strengths were recognised in the 2020 ISI Inspection which found Repton to be ‘Excellent’ in each of the areas examined. The inspectors judged Repton pupils ‘Achieve highly and make excellent progress across the wide range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities available to them’ The School was judged to have met all the requirements of the ISI Regulatory Compliance Inspection.

In 2007 Repton Dubai was established and the School has seven international schools including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, China and Malaysia, with plans to open four more in the next twenty-four months.
