We are a residential development lender, with funding provided by a consortium of 7 UK Building Societies including 4 in the Midlands region (Melton Mowbray Building Society, Mansfield Building Society, Hinckley & Rugby Building Society and Market Harborough Building Society).
Our typical customer is a private developer or SME housebuilder looking to borrow between £1m and £10m to fund development projects which can be new houses, apartments, student accommodation or the conversion of commercial buildings into residential use.
We are a fixed rate lender with a flexible and agile approach with a good knowledge of the Midlands market.
We accept business direct and also from brokers and normally require more than 5 years experience of development as a minimum, although we do sometimes make exceptions to this when there is a compelling case.
Unlike most of the London based banks (our primary competition) we do not charge exit fees or any form of early repayment fee and we use local professional advisors to keep the costs down for the Borrower.
We are normally able to give feedback on any new lending proposal within 2 business days.
