Locally We Do…

Locally We Do… is a family-run Business owned by my wife Helena & I. Our focus is for Local People to provide Home Help & Property Maintenance Support for the Elderly & Disabled in their Local Communities. Our aim is to enable these two under-supported demographics to continue living as independently as possible in their own homes.

Helena & I both come from a customer service background & want to set the highest possible standard of service being delivered to Clients making Derby the leading City for Quality Service Delivery in Support Services & more.  

We do not do anything regulated but rather aim to support Clients with everything from daily chores like house cleaning, laundry, ironing, shopping, accompanied doctors, hospital & social trips, etc. We also cover Handyman, gardening, internal & external painting, shed & fence repair, fit stairs & grab rails, ramps, shallower steps & much more.

Our Support Services not only help the individual Clients but enable their Families to enjoy more quality time with them, reduce the pressure on them & give the Family complete peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being fully supported as they require.

We also can have a significant impact on the care sector in Derby by easing the pressure on the discharge process, helping free up hospital beds quicker by getting their homes clean & safe ready for their return, making space for hospital equipment, 1 to 1 pre booked collection times to get them home & settled in, ensuring they have food & drinks in & prepare them meals as well as continue their support for outpatient & Drs appointments – reducing the likelihood of their return to hospital – breaking the current reactive cycle.

Our aim again is to help Derby become the leading City, raising the standards of care & support not just for the Elderly & Disabled but for all.

Derby is a fantastic hub for its businesses for them to set a standard to lead the various markets they are in. Its location & transport links make it a perfect base to grow a national/international concern, just like Rolls-Royce & other companies have.
