Heatons is a planning, environment and design consultancy that brings clarity to complex projects when the stakes are high for clients and communities alike. We combine planning, ecology and design expertise across housing, employment, commercial, minerals and waste, as well as energy, renewables, industrial and infrastructure schemes.

Our planners and ecologists deliver robust applications, effective negotiations with planning authorities, and meaningful engagement with stakeholders and the public.

Our ecology team undertakes preliminary ecological assessments, protected species surveys and Ecological Impact Assessments, taking a pragmatic, proactive approach so ecological considerations are built into projects from the start. We assess biodiversity net gain and work with colleagues and clients to enrich development proposals with practical mitigation, compensation and enhancement.
