Rolls-Royce to hold major supply chain conference

Rolls-Royce is set to co-host a major conference where firms can discover how they become part of the supply chain to deliver mini nuclear power stations.

Registrations are now open for first Rolls-Royce SMR and Great British Energy – Nuclear (GBE-N) joint supply chain event, called ‘Delivering Together’.

Taking place on 22 and 23 October at Coleg Menai’s Llangefni Campus, in Wales, it will bring together the local, regional, national and international supply chain to hear from senior members of the Rolls-Royce SMR and GBE-N teams delivering the Gwyndod project to build the UK’s first SMRs on Ynys Môn.

Rolls-Royce SMR and GBE-N will be joined by their delivery partners and several major tier-one suppliers, giving delegates the opportunity to meet the people leading the programme, understand what will be expected from the supply chain, and the support available as the project moves forward.

Ruth Todd, operations and supply chain director at Rolls-Royce SMR, said: “A strong capable supply chain is key to our success.

“The landmark ‘Delivering Together’ event will help suppliers understand the scale of our programme, the standards required and the support available – so they can see how they will contribute to a new generation of nuclear power while creating lasting social value through skills, jobs and investment.”
