The final line-up has been announced for a new city-wide music festival supported by a number of Marketing Derby Bondholder venues.

The Invention Music Festival, which takes place on Saturday 19 September will feature more than 50 acts, playing across six venues, including Dubrek Studios, Down to Earth Derby’s Electric Daisy and Derby City Council’s Chapel Street Arts Centre.

All the venues will open their doors simultaneously with people able to enter all of them with a single £30 wristband.

Joining the music venues is the newly opened Bustler Derby, in St James’ Yard, which will be the official food hub for the one-day music festival.

Arts Council England and Music Venue Trust, the charity that campaigns for the UK’s grassroots venues, are also supporting the festival.

Jay Dean, director at Dubrek Studios and festival organiser, said:  “Invention is about discovering new music in unexpected places around Derby.

“We’re proud to be flying the flag for six city centre venues, as well as giving a stage to exciting, upcoming artists.”
