City deals round-up
The relocation of a growing law firm heads the list of deals done in Derby over recent weeks.
Timms Solicitors has moved to 5 Queen Street, in the city’s Cathedral Quarter.

The newly refurbished office offers a more collaborative and flexible space for staff and allows Timms to retain a prime city centre location.
It boasts a light and bright new reception area, meeting rooms for visitors and easy access to parking and bus routes.
Managing partner Fiona Moffat said: “We have been established in Derby for many years, firstly in Babington Lane and most recently in St Michael’s Church in Queen Street where we’ve been for the past 11 years.
“We were extremely keen to remain in one of Derby’s most sought-after shopping and business districts and were drawn to Queen Street because it offered us a fresh, new space to run the business.
“The new office gives us a contemporary and flexible base to grow our team and develop and build on the services we offer the people of Derby.
“We had been searching for a new home in Derby for more than 18 months and we were drawn to this office for many reasons, including the welcoming shopfront window.”
In retail, leading footwear brand OFFICE has opened the doors to its new store inside the Derbion shopping centre.

Located on Level 2, the 6,444 sq ft store stocks footwear brands including adidas, Nike, Salomon, UGG, New Balance and Asics.
The new store is the brand’s first in Derbyshire.
The news follows a string of recent retailer announcements at Derbion including the upcoming arrival of Bath & Body Works and this year’s “Hatch” winner – frozen yoghurt brand YOSWIRL.
Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “We’re so excited to welcome OFFICE to Derbion, offering shoppers the very best and latest in footwear fashion.”
Derbion has also recently welcomed the opening of a brand-new studio store by health and beauty retailer Bodycare.

It forms part of the retailer’s return to the UK high street following the brand’s relaunch, with Derby selected as one of the key locations in the first phase of its national expansion programme.
The store sells value-led health and beauty essentials alongside an expanded range of skincare, cosmetics, fragrance and wellness products.
New features include K-Beauty collections, a professional piercing studio, the Technic cosmetics range and a free-to-use Creator Studio.
Beth said: “We’re hugely excited to welcome Bodycare back to Derbion with a brand-new concept store.
“As well as offering exceptional value for customers, the Creator Studio will be a brilliant addition which is sure to prove extremely popular with our local community here in Derby.
“Bodycare is the latest in a raft of new stores that have joined the centre this year and we look forward to announcing further news soon.”
