Law firm hails contribution of six long-serving staff
Smith Partnership is celebrating six long service milestones – with a combined total of 175 years of dedication and commitment to the firm.
Among those recognised is partner Andrew Oldroyd, who celebrates 35 years of service within the law firm’s crime department.
Having joined in 1991, just four years after the firm’s establishment, he has been a key part of Smith Partnership’s transformative growth and significant changes.
He said: “I’ve enjoyed every minute of my 35 years with the firm. It has been a privilege to stand alongside clients at some of the most challenging moments in their lives.
“I’ve been fortunate to work with exceptional colleagues whose expertise, support, and friendship have made Smith Partnership a rewarding place to build a career.
“The firm has always shared my commitment to providing outstanding client service, and I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together.”

Also celebrating long-service within the crime team are Sanjeev Siniara, police station accredited legal clerk, who has been part of the firm for 25 years and Lorraine Horton, accredited representative who is celebrating 30 years alongside partner Justin Ablott.
Also completing 25 years of service is Jo Banfield, legal secretary in Smith’s childcare department.
She said: “Working in childcare law for the past 25 years has been extremely rewarding.
“My role as a legal secretary has given me the opportunity to work among our solicitors in many complex and often sensitive cases.
“It’s been very fulfilling to support families and help protect the welfare of children.”
Partner in the dispute resolution department, Bally Atwal, is also achieving a long-service milestone, having been with the firm for 30 years.
Managing partner James Johnson said: “Reaching such milestones is a remarkable achievement that reflects the years of commitment, professionalism, and loyalty of our staff.
“Each has made a lasting contribution to our clients, colleagues and the overall culture of our firm.
“On behalf of Smith Partnership, I would like to offer my congratulations for their continuous support.”
