Cricket club’s manufacturer partnership bears fruit

A partnership between Derbyshire County Cricket Club and a local garden furniture manufacturer to create an elevated matchday experience is reaping dividends.

Last year, the club partnered with TDP to create a premium pitchside hospitality space at the OurCoop County Ground with maintenance-free, durable furniture.

The TDP Pitchside Terrace gives cricket fans the chance to experience a level of comfort between a general ticket and a full hospitality experience.

Since its launch last year hospitality sales for the terrace have more than doubled compared with previous seasons.

Jimmy Drew, head of commercial partnerships at Derbyshire County Cricket Club said: “We spotted an opportunity to offer our visitors something in between a general ticket and full hospitality.

“It’s been a great success with our visitors for the past two seasons.

“Having an area that’s well done and filled with quality facilities is what completes the experience and keeps people coming back.

“In fact, family and friends are recommending the terrace area to one another so it’s building a great reputation on its own through word of mouth.”
