Venue delivers environmental silver service

The Derby Conference Centre is celebrating after retaining an accreditation recognising its commitment to sustainability and responsible hospitality.

The venue has retained its Silver Greengage ECOsmart accreditation, reflecting its ongoing work to reduce its environmental impact while continuing to provide exceptional experiences for delegates, guests and event organisers.

Greengage ECOsmart is one of the hospitality industry’s leading sustainability accreditation programmes.

It assesses venues across six key areas, including food and beverage, corporate social responsibility, energy and water, facilities management, building infrastructure and waste management.

The latest assessment awarded The Derby Conference Centre an overall score of 68%, retaining silver accreditation until July 2027.

In a statement, The Derby Conference Centre said: “Sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we’re committed to continually improving the way we operate.”

Since our previous assessment, we’ve increased our overall score by 14 percentage points, with significant improvements across several categories.”
