Derby College Group has become one of the latest organisations to sign-up to an anti-hate campaign led by Derby City Council.

It has formally signed the “No Place for Hate in Derby” pledge, reinforcing its commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all students, staff and the wider community.

The campaign is a citywide initiative designed to tackle hate crime and discrimination in all its forms.

It brings together organisations across Derby to stand united in promoting dignity, fairness and respect, and to ensure that hate has no place in the city.

More than 100 organisations across Derby, including schools, charities and businesses, have now signed the pledge, demonstrating a strong and united commitment across the city to tackle hate and promote inclusion.

Aaron Denton, vice principal at Derby College Group, said: “We are incredibly proud to support the No Place for Hate in Derby campaign.

“As a college that serves a diverse community, we have a responsibility to ensure that every student and member of staff feels safe, respected and valued.

“Signing this pledge is not just a statement, it is a commitment to action.”
