Yoga business comes home with move to new ‘wellness hub’
Hotpod Yoga Derby has announced it is moving to a new base, which will bring together a range of wellness services under one roof.
The business is relocating from Perkins Yard, in Mansfield Road, to a new building called The Cube, at Park Farm, Allestree.

Hotpod Yoga Derby offers yoga sessions inside its signature inflatable pod. Heated to 37C and filled with calming scents, soft lighting and curated playlists, the pod provides the perfect space to enjoy yoga practice.
The business was founded in 2017 by Leah McLaren. When she first started out, she held sessions in community halls in Allestree before establishing a permanent base at Perkins Yard in 2018.
Leah said: “This has taken a year to get over the line, but I’m so excited to finally be making my dream a reality – creating a landmark building in Derby that will bring together a whole range of wellness services under one roof.
“When I launched Hotpod Yoga, I was popping up the pod in halls in Allestree – so this really feels like we’re coming home!”
As well as yoga sessions delivered by Hotpod Yoga Derby, The Cube will offer a range of other wellness services courtesy of fellow tenants Derby Physio, Hooked Boxing & Fitness Club and Fosse Healthcare.
Derby Physio, part of Burton Physio Group, is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinic dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger and live pain-free.
Hooked Boxing & Fitness Club will offer class-based training experiences, while care provider Fosse Healthcare will use The Cube as a base to deliver a range of services which enable independent living.

Leah added: “This move is about so much more than a change of address. It’s about creating a space that truly reflects the experience and brand we’ve worked so hard to build. A space that feels elevated, welcoming, energising, and completely aligned with who we are.
“The whole team is absolutely buzzing about what’s ahead. We cannot wait to welcome you into a space where you can move, sweat, connect and unwind in a way that feels truly special.”
Hotpod Yoga Derby welcomes women and men of all abilities, with hot yoga classes taking place at a variety of times, seven days a week.
Earlier this year, the business welcomed players from Derbyshire County Cricket Club as part of their preparations for the coming season.
They took part in a session, which was tailored thanks to input from James Fitzgerald, the club’s lead strength and conditioning coach.
Hotpod Yoga Derby said it will be announcing more details about its move – including timelines and launch plans – soon.
