Trio set to take leap of faith in aid of hospice
A trio of daring women are set to take a leap of faith in aid of Treetops Hospice when they take part in a charity skydive.
The trio are preparing to take a 14,000 ft skydive in support of the Risley-based end-of-life charity, each motivated by powerful, personal experiences of the charity’s care.
Last year alone, the Treetops team supported over 2,000 patients, delivering more than 34,000 hours of care.
The skydive will take place in May at Skydive Langar, in Nottingham, where the participants will freefall at up to 120mph before their parachutes deploy for a controlled descent.

One of the fundraisers, Melanie, turned to Treetops after the sudden death of her husband from lung cancer.
Kerri, who is digital lead at Treetops, received bereavement counselling from the hospice following the death of her mum last year.
Finally, Farrah, 23, is also jumping in memory of her mum, who was a great supporter of the charity.
