Yoga business helps cricket players gear up for season ahead
Hotpod Yoga Derby has been helping players at Derbyshire County Cricket Club prepare for the coming season.
The business, founded by Leah McLaren in 2017, recently welcomed players for a yoga session in one of their signature inflatable pods.

Heated to 37C and filled with calming scents, soft lighting and curated playlists, the pod provides the perfect space to enjoy yoga practice.
It is not the first time that Hotpod Yoga has worked with the cricket club – with their relationship dating back to 2018.
Leah said: “Welcoming back the team at Derbyshire County Cricket Club has been fantastic.”
“We have some players coming to us regularly but getting a full team together is always good fun.”
“Providing a different experience is a great addition to their normal routine. By incorporating our heat, we offer a great form of active recovery and help keep them injury free.”

The session was tailored thanks to input from James Fitzgerald, the club’s lead strength and conditioning coach.
James said: “Hotpod Yoga has been great for the players as it allows us to concurrently work on elements such as mobility and flexibility whilst implementing good recovery strategies in the off-season.”
Leah said: “Working closely with James meant we could tailor their class to exactly what they needed and finding some calm and focus is also really important, allowing them to take an hour away from any outside pressures, leaving them feeling fresh, light and ready to go.”
