Bondholders urged to back food donation initiative

Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance is encouraging fellow Marketing Derby Bondholders to take part in an annual festive initiative to provide food to struggling families.

The charity’s Reverse Advent Calendar initiative challenges participants to collect certain food items over a period of 25 days, starting on Friday 7 November and ending on Monday 1 December.

DF4TA has drawn up a list of items it would like donated, which can be found on its website.

Now in its fourth year, the Reverse Advent Calendar challenge has been well supported by Bondholders in the past. Last year, they donated more than 450 completed calendars.

In a statement, DF4TA said: “Invite your workplace to swap chocolates for kindness: add one essential item a day to a box and, by the end, you’ll have a full collection ready to support DF4TA and our partner food projects through a busy winter.”

Completed calendars can be dropped off at Derby County’s Pride Park Stadium on Wednesday 3 or Thursday 4 December.
