Accountants make it four with latest deal

Accountancy and advisory services firm Dains has announced its fourth acquisition since securing private equity backing.
The firm has acquired Curo, a Worcestershire professional services practice, which delivers audit, tax, accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients.

Founded in 2005 by Anna Madden and Julia Gallagher, Curo enhances Dains’ capabilities in areas traditionally associated with much larger firms, while complementing its focus on clarity and client service.
The Curo team will continue to operate under the leadership of Anna and Julia after 20 successful years at the helm.
Richard McNeilly, chief executive of the Dains Group said: “Curo has built an outstanding reputation for technical excellence and long-standing client relationships.
“Its ability to deliver complex audits and cross-border tax work, while maintaining a highly personal approach, is rare in the market and complements our own strengths perfectly.”
The legal advisers for Curo on the deal was Shakespeare Martineau.
