Hospitals charity benefits from firm’s ‘lightbulb’ moment

A business credit specialist has decided to support Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity by donating a portion of client fees.
Long Eaton-based Lightbulb Credit has announced that it will donate part of its fees to the charity throughout this month.

It has pledged its support after someone close to the firm’s founder and chief executive James Piper was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
James said: “The care the hospital provides, the care and support we have received and the ongoing aftercare is incredible. We are very grateful and thankful to the entire diabetes team.”
In statement, the charity said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support which we receive from our corporate supporters across Derby, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
“Each one of these local businesses all have something in common – they all have workforces that will rely on the NHS for their health and wellbeing at some point in their life.
“Working closely with these local businesses enables us to show the impact that their support provides to patients and staff being cared for or working in our hospitals.”
