The latest Bondholder appointments and promotions

BSP Consulting, Rothera Bray, Oberoi Business Hub, Ascentant Accountancy and Ashgates are among the latest Marketing Derby Bondholders to announce new appointments.
Civil and structural engineer BSP Consulting has appointed a new associate director and a new associate.

Jo Posnett has returned to the company as an associate director, having previously spent 19 years at BSP in the transport department.
Meanwhile, Oliver McElroy has been promoted to associate.
Managing director Carl Hilton said: “Jo was a valued member of our team for many years, and her return is good news for our clients and her colleagues.
“Oliver is recognised as a senior leader within our civil engineering team and his promotion is well-deserved.
“I’d like to congratulate them both on their new positions, wish them all the best and thank them for contributing towards the continuing success of the business.”
Law firm Rothera Bray has announced a record number of internal promotions, with 15 team members from across the firm’s office locations being promoted.

Among the promotions, five solicitors have been appointed to the newly introduced managing associate role. Among them is Lucy Walsh, a conveyancing solicitor at the firm’s Derby office.
Christina Yardley, chief executive at Rothera Bray, said: “These promotions are a reflection of the outstanding talent, dedication, and professionalism we are proud to foster at Rothera Bray.
“Each individual has demonstrated not only exceptional legal expertise but also a commitment to client service and teamwork that truly embodies our firm’s values.
“We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and look forward to their continued success in their new roles.”
Oberoi Business Hub has expanded its call handling team and leadership in response to growing demand nationwide.

The Derby-based company, founded by entrepreneur Kavita Oberoi OBE, has welcomed Julie Smith and Tallulah Harris to its fast-growing call handling division.
At the same time, long-standing team member Jodie Brady, who began her journey with the company as an apprentice seven years ago, has been promoted from team leader to head of operations, a newly created strategic leadership role.
To support the growing team, Collette Hall has been appointed on secondment to the role of team leader.
Collette has also been with the business for seven years and brings deep operational insight and a strong understanding of the Oberoi ethos to the role.
Kavita said: “We are in a period of significant growth as more organisations turn to us for our professionalism, reliability and client-first approach.
“Bringing Julie and Tallulah into the team ensures we continue to exceed expectations, and Collette’s secondment reflects our belief in recognising and developing talent from within.
“I’m especially proud of Jodie’s journey from apprentice to head of operations – a clear example of how we nurture people and invest in their future. It’s an exciting time for us and for the clients we support.”
Ascentant Accountancy has welcomed Steven Walters to the team as a senior accountant.

He joins from KLN Accountancy and is responsible for managing the accountancy team, managing client relationships and delivering accountancy services.
Ascentant has also celebrated a number of other recent hires, including Molly Harrison and Paula White.
Kevin Drew, director of Ascentant Accountancy, said: “We are really pleased to welcome Steven to our growing team.
“He brings a wealth of experience of working with owner managed businesses and providing proactive business support.”
Finally, Ashgates has promoted auditor Arron Anderson to director after 18 years with the firm.

Arron, who started as a trainee in 2007, joins the senior management team at Ashgates at an exciting time in its expansion after it joined the fast-growing accountancy and professional services group, DJH, last year.
Prior to becoming a director, the Derby-born finance expert has been a hugely successful senior manager, working closely with the directors to strengthen client relationships and support the firm’s expansion in the region.
David Newborough, director at Ashgates, said: “Arron has been a great performer at each level of his progression through our business and fully merits his promotion to director.
“His expertise in auditing and seeing the ‘bigger picture’ for our clients has been instrumental in us building several strategic relationships with key East Midlands employers and now is the right time to take this to the next level.”
