Housebuilder eyes awards hat-trick

Housebuilder Wavensmere Homes has received multiple nominations for awards which recognise the cream of the region’s property sector.

The firm, which is behind a number of major schemes in Derby, has been shortlisted in three categories by Insider’s Midlands Residential Property Awards.

At last year’s awards, Wavensmere won Housebuilder of the Year, as well as Deal of the Year.

This time around, the firm is once again up for both awards.

It is nominated for Deal of the Year in recognition of its sale of 262 single family homes in Derby and Wolverhampton to Kennedy Wilson.

The homes in Derby are at Friar Gate Goods Yard, which is one of three major schemes Wavensmere has in Derby – the others being Nightingale Quarter and Cathedral One.

The company is also nominated for Urban & City Living Developer of the Year.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on 25 June.
