The team at The Pepperpot restaurant are celebrating after being awarded a prestigious AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence.

The venue, which is located on Wavensmere Homes’ Nightingale Quarter development, in London Road, has been recognised for its commitment to outstanding food quality, creative cuisine and high standards of service.

The AA Rosette scheme is one of the UK’s most respected benchmarks of restaurant quality, with only a select number of establishments receiving this accolade each year.

The award recognises The Pepperpot’s inventive menus, dedication to locally sourced ingredients and the exceptional skills of its kitchen team.

Opened just over a year ago, the venue has quickly gained a reputation for its contemporary cuisine, elegant atmosphere and unwavering commitment to quality.

Last year, The Pepperpot was recognised at the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards, winning the Innovation Award.

Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, The Pepperpot expanded on its early success by introducing a new sun terrace for alfresco dining.

It has also launched The Nightingale, a stylish first-floor space designed to accommodate private dining and corporate meetings in a stylish, dedicated setting.

Its latest accolade now puts the restaurant among an elite group in the region.

Dan Fincher, head chef at The Pepperpot, said: “We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to receive this recognition, especially as it’s only just over a year since we opened our doors.

“It’s a testament to the hard work and passion of our entire team.

“From day one, our vision was to bring something truly special to Derby’s dining scene, and this award reassures us that we’re delivering on that promise.

“We’re so grateful to our guests and local suppliers who have supported us on this journey.”
