“We were delighted to host the visit by HRH The Princess Royal today, to mark our official opening. It’s great that the UTC has been over-subscribed for places in Year 10 and we look forward to more students joining us in the coming years”
— Philip Morris, Principal of Derby Manufacturing University Technical College

Derby Manufacturing UTC opened its doors to students in September and provides an outstanding educational experience which focuses on giving students the opportunity to develop the technical and employability skills which will enable them to thrive in key local employment sectors.

The College is sponsored by Bondholders University of Derby, Derby College, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Bombardier and Derby City Council as well as having support from local employers.
