New Recruits for threeguru

Bondholder threeguru has recruit new design graduates as part of its plans for expansion.

The creative agency has recruited recent graduates Alex Hackney and Susan Nash.

According to Creative Director Chris Reynolds threeguru’s latest recruits have already made an instant impact.

Chris said: "We are already seeing the benefit of casting our recruitment web further afield to secure the most promising graduates.

“Alex has played a pivotal role in shaping threeguru’s most recent brand launch, Tax Retriever, as well having creative input on a brand refresh for Runflat CBR… It’s fair to say he bowled over the gurus with his creative portfolio and commercial awareness and has yet to be stumped by a brief.”

The University's Creative Gurus

The University of Derby’s Internship Programme recently had a creative makeover thanks to fellow bondholder, threeguru, whilst the programme itself gained a #DIP100 new recruit.
After successfully winning the University’s pitch, the gurus developed a vibrant new communications campaign.  Involving two different facets for both the student and prospective employer, the new creative had to appeal to both audiences, whilst maintaining a clear University brand identity.
Talking about the new campaign, University of Derby Employer and Community Engagement Manager, Amber Woodfull said  ‘We have found working with threeguru on the branding for the Derby Internship Programme a refreshing and enjoyable experience.  The team are responsive, friendly and creative with equal measure (not to mention patient!) and have transformed our brand into a cohesive and engaging campaign that makes a great impact’
On board with the University’s objectives and with a collective history of offering opportunities to graduates, threeguru were keen to join the programme again and are delighted to welcome recent graduate Sam Brown-Hawryliw to the expanding team.
Graphic Design and Visual Communication graduate, Sam joins threeguru at an exciting time and his aptitude for all things creative has seen him develop the recent festive campaign ‘Have a Guru-vy Christmas’ which has been a big hit with both clients and the guru team.
Threeguru Creative Director, Chris Reynolds, comments ‘Having access to such a pool of local talent is commercially advantageous to us and we are delighted to welcome Sam as we strengthen and look to grow the business in 2017’.
Amber Woodfull added ‘The internship programme is a fantastic way for students and graduates to access short term, valuable work experience with local organisations. SME’s may also be eligible for a £500 subsidy towards the cost of an intern and we are still looking for employers to offer roles up until the 20th February.  If you think your organisation could benefit, please get in touch’

It sends a strong message that Derby is a creative hub to be reckoned with and is open for business to London based marketers and blue chips looking to increase their return on their investment.”

Threeguru’s link up with Lloyds Register will be worth up to £50k for the Derby firm

The agency's creatives adhered to strict brand guidelines throughout and embraced Lloyd Register’s key values to initially produce a make safety personal video to promote safety at the heart of the workplace.

Video animation was our preferred communication channel when developing this project, it allowed us to be punchy and interesting in a way that video or photography couldn’t
— Luke Sherwin, Strategic Director at Threeguru

Bondholder design agency hungry for more

Lee Day from threeguru in front of one of the recipes for the Be Portion Size Wise marketing campaign

Leading design agency and Bondholder threeguru is celebrating end-of-year successes as it reports both a staggering 330% increase in turnover as well as a series of high-profile account wins.

Whilst the company already has existing customers including a FTSE 250 company, a Premier League football club and an award-winning Derbyshire-based photographer, threeguru has now taken on Derbyshire County Council as its newest client.

Current analytics suggest the target audience has responded well and has been receptive to the initial campaign creative and information
— Lee Day, Digital Guru at threeguru

The Be Portion Size Wise marketing campaign from the aims to target, engage and educate 19-64 year-olds in the county about the implications of being overweight - a topic which the team is passionate about.

Figures say that a disappointing 68.8% of Derbyshire's population is considered overweight or obese and nationally the issue costs the NHS £5.1bn each year. threeguru have there worked with Derbyshire County Council to create a series of infographics and downloadable recipes to increase social media engagement in the coming weeks and months.

threeguru's Lee Day commented: "Current analytics suggest the target audience has responded well and has been receptive to the initial campaign creative and information. threeguru will therefore be looking to build on that and encourage a 'genuine share factor' element with our creative approach, by engaging with Derbyshire's social media influencers and key stakeholders to improve the campaign reach."

The fantastic news precedes the agency's announcement to move into a bigger studio early next year.
