Mazars Welcome 12 new Trainees

Bondholder Mazars has welcomed 12 new trainees to its East Midlands offices.

The new trainees will be taking up roles across the fast-growing Audit, Consulting and Tax teams, and are part of a nationwide intake of 195 trainees, drawn from 25 countries.

The trainees began their journey at the Mazars’ annual “Ignite” welcome conference, and will receive intensive training as they begin their studies towards their professional qualifications including AAT, ACA, ACCA, ATT, CFAB, CII, ICAS, AFA and IIA. Their respective trainee programmes will enable them to work across a range of clients and to develop the range of skills that will set them up for long and successful careers.

Alistair Wesson, East Midlands Managing Partner, said: “I am delighted to welcome our 2017 intake. We place huge value on a trainee programme and want their time with us to count.

“Delivering outstanding quality to our clients is at the heart of everything we do and our people are key to making this happen, and I am sure that our new trainees will be valuable assets to the teams they are joining and to the clients they will be working with.”

New Starter for Mazars

Ed Hamblin joins Bondholder Mazars as Senior Administrator, as the company expands its Restructuring Services team.

In his new role, Ed he will bring strong advisory and technical experience across a broad range of sectors. He joins a national team of over 100 reorganisation and recovery professionals dedicated to helping businesses in difficulty.

East Midlands Managing Partner, Alistair Wesson, said: "Ed is joining the Mazars team in Nottingham as a Senior Administrator within Restructuring Services and there is a strong possibility that he will progress to a more senior level in the future.

"Ed’s background in dealing with significant and sizeable insolvency procedures will improve the experience and offering to both current and future Mazars clients."

Ed said: "Mazars is a forward-thinking firm with a strong culture and values that will benefit me in the long term. In particular, Mazars in the East Midlands has grown significantly in the last four years and that is something that I look forward to being a part of.

“I am also looking forward to working with Restructuring Services Senior Manager Paul Maloney and the rest of the Restructuring Services team and using my experience gained over the last eight years to add to the already excellent Restructuring Services offering by Mazars both nationally and particularly in the East Midlands."

Trio of Promotions at Mazars

Bondholder Mazars has announced three promotions and plans to further grow the team.

Pete Wood has been promoted to Corporate Finance Director, while Vardi Bhalla and Katrina Ford-Marsden make the step up to Assistant Tax Manager.

Pete joined Mazars in 2014. He has nine years' experience of corporate finance experience, advising clients on disposals, MBOs/MBIs, fund-raising and strategic planning.

All three have become invaluable members of the team, and their promotions show just how much Mazars is committed to developing the talent of the future."

Continued Growth for Mazars

Bondholder Mazars has reported its fifth successive year of growth, and an increase in income of nearly 40% since 2012.

I believe that as auditors we tailor our approach to suit the client and I was pleased to see that at Mazars, they shared the same aims, objectives and work methods that I have always found important.”
