Laura Duffy, Senior Global Brand Marketing Manager, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centres said “We are enjoying working with Katapult on the creation roll out of our event kits. It is a challenging but fun brief and I have been impressed with their approach and designs. They really understand the brand, completely get what we are looking to create and are very responsive.”

Dawn Foote, Managing Director & Co-founder at Katapult said “This is a great partnership and an awesome project to be working on with Merlin & LEGO. The new rollout will go live early 2019 and will feature exciting hands-on brick experiences. We are drawing upon our expertise of working with family entertainment centres to provide experiences that are fun, inclusive, creative, imaginative, humorous and inspirational.”

Leader of the pack

Bondholder Katapult's Co-Founder, Dawn Foote was awarded the Creative Industries Leader of the Year award at last week’s The English Women’s Awards.
Dawn was recognised for her determination, creativity and energy which has enabled her to build an international creative agency from a graduate start-up 17 years ago. Only recently Katapult launched a second brand ‘Yellowstep’, the latest development in the story of their business growth.

The ceremony was a chance for Dawn to be recognised for her professional and personal achievements as well as her commitment to the creative community including her work with QUAD and Derby Theatre.
After the ceremony Dawn had this to say about her award; “I got quite emotional when I received the award. The last couple of years have been personally challenging but in despite of that me and the team have built Katapult into something great. With us currently working on a number of dream projects with brands such as LEGO and National Geographic. To win this award at the start of our new financial year creates such a sense of energy and excitement.”

The awards ceremony aimed to showcase the contribution of women to many industries and professions such as Law, Medicine, Technology, Science and the Arts. The English Women’s Awards 2018 also provided a platform to thank and recognise meritorious ladies for their contributions to our society as well as for the exceptional work they carry out on a daily basis that often goes unnoticed.
There are a huge amount of inspiring women across all industries and it’s great to see them being recognised. Katapult celebrate Dawn and women in the creative industries everywhere.

We want to give our expertise and time to help a charity make positive changes throughout 2018 by offering £10,000 worth of marketing support and the chance to work with our talented team.”

We’ll question everything until we are confident that what we are doing will deliver a social, cultural or commercial benefit
— Dawn Foote, Managing Director at Katapult

Originally set up in 2001 by Dawn Foote, she commented: "We're delighted to have received this recognition. We've been actively involved in supporting and promoting the creative industries since we started the business in 2001, so it means a lot to us that leading industry figures see the impact we're making."

Dawn continued: "Marketing technology has changed everything in recent years, and we've embraced it; effective measurement of marketing is now accessible to just about everyone and our proposition is around results-driven creativity as a result. It has really sharpened our focus on making an impact for our clients; everything we do should either help to build an audience, create meaningful engagement or improve conversion. We'll question everything until we are confident that what we are doing will deliver a social, cultural or commercial benefit."

Katapult's expertise lies across branding, inbound marketing, design, digital, video and motion graphics while working across a number of key sectors, including leisure and entertainment, hi-tech companies, charities and cultural organisations.
