Irongate celebrates four decades of service

After being founded in 1977 on Irongate in Derby, what was a mere photocopy shop has now grown over four decades to become a booming business supplies provider, known as Bondholder Irongate Group.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Irongate Group has refreshed its brand identity and launched InOne, a revolutionary new procurement solution aimed at saving companies significant time and money when buying their business supplies and services.

Adam Noble, Managing Director of Irongate Group, said: "InOne combines all of Irongate's specialist sub-divisions and industry experts to provide businesses with a powerful single source package for all of their business supplies, with one supplier, one point of contact, one delivery and one invoice, all accessible via one online ordering system."

Debbie Hunt, Marketing Manager at Irongate Group, said: "We're very excited to share our fresh, new identity ahead of our 40th birthday. Quirky illustrations, friendly language and vibrant imagery have been used to show off Irongate's best assets — that we're here to help, that we're a lovely, friendly bunch and we offer everything you need for your business in one place."

Irongate employs more than 100 people from in and around the Derby area and the team is passionate about developing long-term client relationships and simplifying their customers' supply chains in the process.

Bondholder Irongate Group has increased its office space by around 50% by taking a new lease of a 15,500 sq ft business unit next to its existing head office.

The expansion means we can increase the variety of services we offer, particularly work wear and PPE
— Adam Noble, Managing Director at Irongate Group

After starting out as a photocopying shop on Derby's Irongate, the business has grown exponentially into providing a diverse range of business services including office supplies, workwear, managed communications and document management.

Now turning over £17 million annual, Managing Director Adam Noble said: "We have seen through our existing head office at Kingsway that the location was perfect for our needs, we just needed more space. The expansion means we can increase the variety of services we offer, particularly work wear and PPE."

Chris Keogh, Associate at fellow Bondholder Salloway Property Consultants, put together the deal and commented: "Irongate Group now occupy over 45,000 sq ft at Kingsway Industrial Park and that is testament to the strong locational benefits of the development, being both close to Derby City Centre and the extensive transport infrastructure accessible via the A38, which adjoins the Park."

Irongate strengthens offering with strategic partnership

Derby-based business supplies company and Bondholder Irongate Group has strengthened its position following a strategic partnership with fellow Derby firm HB Group.

The partnership reinforces Irongate's reputation as the region's most comprehensive provider of business supplies and services. The deal will also bring a variety of additional services to HB Group's existing customers.

Adam Noble, Managing Director of Irongate Group said: "The addition of HB Group's pedigree and customer base will further fuel our growth, as we near the end of an exceptional 2015 with even bigger ambitions for 2016."

Irongate Group is currently enjoying a record year, having already seen its workforce grow to 100 in 2015. The success of its Irongate Live event in October also generated over £1 million in new contracts.

Irongate Group is based at Kingsway Industrial Park but distributes to clients across the country. As a single-source supplier, the company finds, recommends and personalises the best quality products within its customers' budget, thereby saving time and money compared with using multiple contractors.
