Cleen and tidy

Bondholder Hygiene Services Group (HSG) has developed the UK’s first fully integrated washroom services management tool and review app - Cleen, which has been adopted by a national consortium which campaigns for the provision of specially-adapted washroom facilities.

The Changing Places Consortium – co-chaired by Muscular Dystrophy UK – has campaigned for more than a decade for fully-accessible toilets for people with severe disabilities who need extra equipment and space to use toilets safely and with dignity. Monitoring the Changing Places network will now be far easier thanks to Cleen.

More than 1,300 Changing Places facilities are now registered across the UK but many areas still lack adequate provision. Cleen enables washroom users to log and publish reviews – good and bad – via a free app that is easily downloaded onto a smartphone.

Washroom services and water conservation specialists HSG has provided Changing Places and equipment suppliers in the washrooms with a free Cleen Dashboard. This will notify the equipment providers and consortium instantly of issues highlighted via the Cleen App so that appropriate action can be taken.

HSG is now working with venues who have Changing Places washrooms on site to enable them to have their own individual dashboards so that they can also monitor reviews, take action and post positive reviews themselves.

HSG Managing Director Simon Rice developed Cleen with the aim of improving the world one washroom at a time. He said: ““We developed Cleen to enable anyone using a washroom in all kinds of venues to review their experience from restaurants, service stations and theatres to shopping centres, airports and hospitals.

“We were however particularly keen to have a special section on the app for Changing Places facilities in recognition of the particular challenges that so many people across the UK face simply by enjoying a day out or travelling from A to B.

“By providing the Changing Places consortium and their equipment providers with the Cleen Dashboard management tool, I hope that we can make a difference."

The Cleen App is free to download onto a smartphone and enables washroom users to log reviews of washroom facilities in any type of venue. For more information please visit www.cleen.world or search the app store in Apple or Android.

Contract success for HSG

Bondholder HSG, market leaders in water conservation and washroom services, has clinched a record number of new business since gaining The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation earlier this year.

HSG was granted The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in April – regarded as one of the most prestigious business awards in the country – in recognition of the positive impact that its innovative and unique Ureco system is having on businesses and venues across the UK.

Since then, HSG has since clinched more than £100,000 of new business for the two-fold system which is a market leader in water conservation and improving the washroom environment.

The Ureco urinal sleeve and Uretech water management system is already installed and achieving unrivalled water and money savings in some of the UK’s top venues.

New customers range from further visitor attractions such as Chester Zoo, sporting venues including Bondholder Derbyshire County Cricket Club, corporate buildings such as BT Sport head office in London’s Olympic Park and Euro Garages in Blackburn as well as food manufacturing sites including Shire Foods in Derbyshire.

They join a portfolio of long-standing customers including the 02 Arena in London, NEC in Birmingham, major restaurant chains such as Pizza Hut as well as in top football clubs and some of the largest retail shopping centres across the country.

Sales have also increased for HSG’s latest innovation - the Uretech Plus professional water management solution. Fitted onto a venue’s existing water meter, Uretech Plus uses the latest Wi-Fi technology to provide minute by minute readings of water usage to a laptop, tablet or smartphone.

HSG Managing Director Simon Rice explained: “Since gaining The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and proudly displaying the emblem on all our products, vans and communications, we have seen a marked increase in sales.

“Our existing and potential customers recognise that The Queen’s Award is the ultimate recognition of quality and innovation and it has elevated the company to yet another level within this competitive industry.

“This has spurred us to invest further in research and development - embracing new technologies to develop ways for our customers to better manage and improve the washroom environment.”

Another key innovation for HSG has been the Cleen App and Dashboard which is UK’s first fully integrated management tool and review app to help venues and washroom services providers address issues and promote their high quality facilities.

Mr Rice continued: “Cleen is gathering pace both in App downloads and interest from venues who are keen to better manage their facilities through the Dashboard.”

The Cleen App is free to download onto a smartphone and enables the public to log their washroom reviews of facilities in any type of venue.

Trials are currently underway in a wide range of venues for the Cleen Dashboard which provides businesses and washroom services providers immediate email alerts to reviews.

This enables them to take action, directly respond to customer feedback or promote positive reviews. It also provides detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports on review trends and issues for evaluation and monitoring of facilities.

To enable businesses to receive even more reviews directly on-site, HSG has more recently introduced a new product called the Cleen Tablet. These Data Stations can be installed in or near washrooms for ease of feedback.

New App for HSG UK

Bondholder HSG UK has developed Cleen App – the UK’s first fully integrated washroom review app.

The Cleen App is free to download and enables customers and visitors to rate the washrooms in any type of venue from restaurants and shopping centres to sports stadia and airports.

HSG UK Managing Director Simon Rice has drawn on his company’s expertise as a market leader in washroom water conservation and services and worked with digital marketing agency Subism in Derby and London to develop the cutting-edge technology.

Mr Rice explained: “Having worked in the washroom industry for many years, I was determined to give the public a voice and turn the tide on the washroom roulette.

“This enables people to share their experiences – good and bad – so that others can make an informed choice about where to give their patronage."

In addition to the Cleen App, HSG UK have also developed a complete washroom management tool for businesses and washroom service providers called the Cleen Dashboard.

By using the Cleen Dashboard, businesses and washroom services providers can have full and immediate access to an online dashboard highlighting the issues so that they can take action and directly respond to customer feedback.
