Franklands to the Sea for Me & Dee

Bondholder Franklands Insurance & Risk Management has raised over £7,000 for fellow Bondholder Me & Dee by walking 92 miles from Derby to Mablethorpe in two and a half days.

The Me & Dee charity offers seaside breaks in luxury six berth caravans, with a private sea front beach hut and memory box.  There are two caravans on the east coast at Mablethorpe, one is used by families who are living with a life limiting condition to go and make some special memories.  The other is used to provide seaside holidays to armed forces personnel with physical and emotional injuries.

Maria Hanson, charity Founder, said “This has created a legacy for my charity that will never be forgotten.  It would be impossible in a simple thank you to ever demonstrate what this means. It is not just about the money for Me & Dee.

"It is the things that people do to reflect their belief in both myself and the charity and what we do for those facing such short and uncertain futures, and members of the armed forces with life threatening injuries from their time in action.”
