Intelligence offer launched

Air IT.jpg

Bondholder Air IT has announced the launch of its specialist Business Intelligence division, Air BI.

Data is one of the most important factors for business success, and the correct use of analytics is essential for any business looking to stay ahead of the curve. In 2018, Air IT introduced their internal Business Intelligence (BI) team to develop their data strategy, drive performance and strengthen their position as a technology leader.

Since then the team has been hard at work creating custom automation processes that eliminate repetitive reporting and boost internal efficiencies. With live data dashboards, Air IT has been able to track trends and identify areas of improvement based on past results.

Heading up the Air BI team is Darren Turner, who said "Business Intelligence is key for any organisation looking to transform digitally and make advances in an increasingly competitive environment. From deepening customer and market knowledge, to making smarter decisions and achieving business goals, any business can benefit and make great improvements when data is used effectively"

If you'd like to find out more about BI and how using data effectively can take your business to the next level, register here for Air IT's free breakfast event, taking place on Wednesday 2nd October.

Catch me if you can

Bondholder Air IT has strengthened its partnership with fellow Bondholder Derbyshire County Cricket Club to launch an under 16s catching competition.

Taking place across selected Vitality Blast home games in July and August, the competition aims to encourage local children to get involved with sport whilst fundraising for the important work of Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity.

Paul Judge, Marketing Director at Air IT, said: “As a long-standing sponsor of Derbyshire, we’re delighted to extend our association with the club. Nothing like this has ever been done before so we’re looking forward to shaking things up and seeing our Tech Tom and iTina mascots come to life for another action-packed season of cricket whilst raising vital funds for Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity.”

To compete in the catching competition, youngsters will need to grab one of ten golden tickets from an Air IT mascot during the first half of any Twenty20 home game between 26th July and 15th August. Contestants will then be tested on their catching skills during the match interval with one lucky winner set to receive a Derbyshire County Championship shirt.

Each winner and their family will be invited back to the Falcons vs Steelbacks game on Friday 23rd August – with a chance to compete again and win further prizes including an iPad, a coaching session with a 1st team player and overall glory as the U16’s catching competition champion.

Jimmy Drew, Commercial Manager at Derbyshire County Cricket Club said: “We’re really excited about the prospect of the catching competition that will run at the Pattonair County Ground this summer. It’s great working closely with two of our key partners on this initiative, Air IT and Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity."

The Vitality Blast season is due to commence on Thursday 18th July, with Derbyshire Falcons first appearance scheduled on Saturday 20th July vs Yorkshire Vikings at Queens Park, Chesterfield. The five qualifying rounds of the catching competition will take place during home games at The Pattonair County Ground on the following dates:

Falcons v Notts Outlaws – Friday 26th July
Falcons v Lancashire Lightning – Sunday 28th July
Falcons v Durham Jets – Friday 9th August
Falcons v Worcestershire Rapids – Tuesday 13th August
Falcons v Leicestershire Foxes – Thursday 15th August

A Grand Opening for Air-IT

Bondholder Air-It, who provide managed ICT services to local businesses, have celebrated the grand opening of their new office.

Established in 2005 by CEO, Todd McQuilkin, Air-IT relocated their main operations to Interchange 25 Business Park earlier this year after out-growing their previous home. In his opening speech, McQuilkin described the last 12 years as an “incredible journey” and commended present-day Managing Director, James Healey for his tireless passion to expand and drive the company forward since stepping into the role last year.

Healey commented: “I am very proud of how far Air-IT has come in the last 12 years. As well as consistent growth, we have enjoyed excellent levels of client retention.

“Ultimately, the decision to relocate to Interchange 25 Business Park has enabled us to provide a place where our team can thrive and feel at home so we can continue delivering excellent levels of service. It is also ideally located for us to carry on supporting our clients in Nottingham as well as expanding our presence into Derby and Leicester to fuel further growth.”

Since renamed as The Technology Hub, the building was also lit up from the outside by Bondholder Derby Quad’s TECH:SQUAD, who used projection mapping technology to create a visual light show fitting of the new occupants brand.

Additionally, following on from the success of their first Cyber Security Resilience and GDPR Readiness event last Autumn Air-IT are hosting a second free event at the home of Derbyshire County Cricket Club on Wednesday 7th February 2018.

Air-IT Expands

Bondholder Air-IT has added four new staff to its technical and back office teams.

Marie Talbot, an experienced remote support technician, has joined the company’s service desk team helping some of their 400 plus clients with a variety of IT support needs.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Talbot and Paige Smith occupy new roles as business executive and continuous improvement manager respectively. The duo bring a wealth of experience and skills on board to help drive improvements in operational processes and internal business systems.

In a fourth appointment in as many months, Air-IT has also welcomed Mark Taylor who has joined the business as Finance Manager. With over 30 years in finance and previous industry experience including account management, his role will be key to developing ongoing commercial and financial strategies to support future growth.

James Healey, Managing Director, said: “I’m delighted to welcome our new team members aboard. This is an exciting time for Air-IT as we look forward to our continued expansion and ongoing growth.”

Global Ranking for Air-IT

Bondholder Air-IT has been named as one of the world’s top managed service providers in the 10th annual edition of the prestigious MSPmentor50: Global edition for a third year running.

The IT company was listed as number 12 in the United Kingdom and recognised as the East Midlands number 1.

James Healey, Managing Director, said; 'This is fantastic international recognition of our status as a leading provider of Managed IT and Communication services for the region and beyond.

"And while we are pleased to be recognised on the world stage, our prime objective remains the same – to offer the highest levels of service to each and every one of our clients."
