Bondholder Zycomm Electronics has worked on a world record-beating Penny Farthing cycle ride.

Having heard about Zycomm's expertise as radio specialists, Richard Thoday from Matlock approached them to be involved in his extraordinary challenge - to beat the 133 year-old world record of cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats on a Penny Farthing in aid of BBC's Children in Need. Zycomm accepted with enthusiasm, providing Hytera PD705 two-way radios to assist Richard and his crew with communication during the trip.

Richard started his epic journey on Saturday 20th July at 06:00 BST and completed it at 17.52pm on Wednesday 24th July, smashing the original record by 13 hours and is now waiting for official confirmation from the Guiness Book of Records.

Zycomm’s Marketing Executive Hannah Ingram had the pleasure of interviewing Richard Thoday after the success of his ride. You can read about his journey in his own words on the Zycomm website article
