Over 350 children and adults have made their way up, over and under giant inflatable obstacles to support Bondholder Treetops Hospice Care.

The fun-filled, sponsored event at Markeaton Park on 1 September raised money for the hospice which provides nursing care and emotional support for adults with life limiting conditions living in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Lorraine Ray, Treetops events fundraising lead said: “The KAPOW! Superhero Challenge has been amazing! Everyone has had great fun making their way around all the obstacles around the park – including the Biff Bash, Twisty Tunnels and the Hammer - and they’ve especially loved running through the huge foam station at the finish line.

“Loads of people came dressed up as their favourite superhero so we’ve seen dozens of masked crusaders from Wonder Women to Batmen jogging about.

“It’s been a fantastic way to end the long summer holidays and we want to thank everyone who’s taken part. We’re hoping the event has raised several thousand pounds for the hospice through sponsorship which will make a huge difference to adults affected by a life limiting condition and their families.”

Sponsors of the KAPOW! Superhero Challenge included Bondholder RDS Global Ltd.
