As part of his new role as High Sheriff of Derbyshire for 2019/20, Lord William Burlington has worked with Bondholder Foundation Derbyshire to select five local causes to have a dedicated space in the popular Chatsworth House shop.
Bondholder Derventio Housing Trust has been selected to showcase bird boxes, trugs and decorative wooden birds made by people supported by the charity.
The initiative will help raise awareness of the important work being carried out in the community, and all profits will go straight back to the chosen projects to make a difference to people in Derbyshire.
The selection of products were handmade at Derventio’s Growing Lives project, which provides confidence and skill-building activities to people who have experience of homelessness or are facing barriers to learning and employment, and are now available to buy from the Stables shop at Chatsworth House.
The other charities being supported by the High Sheriff as part of the initiative are Heage Windmill, Angels Small Paws, Fine Cell Work and Derby Book Festival.
