Bondholder DPDS Consulting has worked with owners of a former bank building in Derby city centre ready for it to be transformed into a new leisure venue.
Plans, submitted in June by CityServe Properties, to turn the ground floor and basement of the former Market Place branch of NatWest into a new bar or restaurant have been approved by fellow Bondholder Derby City Council.
Having been vacant for about three years, the permission is more likely to see the building brought back into active use. City Council planners said: “The uses proposed are considered to be acceptable in this city centre location and would assist in bringing this empty listed building back into a viable use.”
Bondholder NatWest now has its main city centre branch in St Peter’s Street.
