Bondholder Berkeley Inns Ltd is celebrating after opening the doors to the Meynell Ingram Arms in Hoar Cross, Staffordshire after it has been closed for five years.

This historic Staffordshire pub was acquired by Berkeley Inns Ltd in November 2018 and has since undergone a major but sympathetic refit and redesign. The traditional pub bar remains very much at its heart, complimented by modern and comfortable dining areas with an on-trend bar /restaurant offering flat screens for major sporting events.

The new offering provides casual, relaxed dining, with a high-quality and diverse menu throughout the various dining areas. From delicious pie & chips to fresh lobster, there will something for all tastes and occasions.

The renovated courtyard and gardens are complimented by an independent outside bar which will provide a great space on those sunny days we all hope for.

The Meynell Ingram Arms is the fifth addition to the group who currently operate The Cow at Dalbury Lees, The Horseshoes at Long Lane, The Cock Inn at Mugginton and The Bluebell atKirk Langley in Derbyshire.

Howard Thacker, Managing Director of Berkeley Inns Ltd said

“I feel like we’ve been entrusted with a very special place that has been close to the hearts of so many over the years. We have taken this responsibility seriously in transforming the building into something economically viable but at the same time retaining and returning character to the property.

"By necessity, it will be a modern take on what was there in the past; in the original bar and surrounding area we have tried to recreate the traditional country pub feel. Muddy boots, doggies, overalls, suit and ties, will all be equally welcome.

"Extra effort has been put into creating seriously cool outdoor spaces with a fabulous courtyard and garden featuring a living wall, multiple planters, heated spaces, heated parasols and extensive seating.

I hope you like what we’ve done with the old place!”
