Bondholder development company Morgan Industrial Properties and their agents, fellow Bondholder David Brown Commercial, are celebrating after completing the third phase of the Northedge industrial scheme off Alfreton Road.
The local developers have invested heavily in the scheme to the north of the city. Working closely with David Brown Commercial, their commercial property agents, they have transformed the area into an enclave of flourishing engineering firms.
David Powell of Morgan Industrial Properties added, “We are delighted to have completed the third phase of our exciting and successful development in this established trading location of Derby. Testament of this is RJ Engineering, doubling their investment by taking on a further 7,000 sq. ft. This leaves only two high quality speculative units available to let of 2,500 sq.ft. and 7,000sq.ft.”
Agent Michael Green from David Brown Commercial said: “The positioning of the site close to the A38, ring road and M1 has helped secure its success. Northedge has evolved in three distinct phases, all bringing new jobs and economic growth to the local area. The first occupiers on the scheme were Four Strokes Swimming Academy and Pektron”
The next phase saw businesses relocating to Northedge from other well-known estates in the city. National industrial component supplier, Eriks, and local steel fabrication firm Bespoke Fabrications both made the move from the older Shaftesbury Street industrial estate.
RJ Engineering, a global manufacturing supplier across Aerospace, Rail and Automotive sectors have benefited occupying a unit at Northedge in addition to their existing headquarters located on Stores Road, allowing them to grow their capability and meet increasing production requirements. Bespoke Fabrications have also expanded on the site by subsequently moving into a larger unit.
