More bays at Hayes

Hoardings are up at Bondholder Morley Hayes for the construction of nine new driving range bays as part of phase two of a redevelopment project.

Work on site will also include the addition of a dedicated area for wheelchair golfers, along with new teaching facilities for East Midlands Golf Academy, and follow the extensive renovation works to expand the golf provision at Morley Hayes, which were completed at the end of last year. These included the addition of new bays, the creation of 18 more parking spaces and better disabled access.

Last year’s redevelopment also included the construction of the new Tower Café, and a new retail area showcasing a range of golf clothing, accessories and golf balls from leading golf brands such as Under Armour, Footjoy and Titleist.

The new facilities at the driving range will complement the already top-class golf facilities available at Morley Hayes, which include a championship length 18-hole Manor course, 9-hole Tower course, golf pavilion and the highly respected East Midlands Golf Academy.

Commenting on the extension of the driving range, Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes, said: “We’re really excited to be making further improvements to our driving range, which is very popular with golfing enthusiasts and families. Our new power tees, rugby posts and light-up targets have been a real success, resulting in a significant increase in the number of golfers using our facilities."
