Top 200 unveiled

New research has been published by Bondholder the University of Derby ranking Derby and Derbyshire’s top 200 most successful businesses.

The league table, compiled on behalf of the Derby Telegraph by academics from the university’s Business School, shows the biggest contributors to the region’s economy.

Four Bondholders feature in the top ten, with Bondholder Rolls-Royce topping the table with fellow OEMs Toyota UK and Bombardier close behind. Construction giants Bowmer & Kirkland were placed 8th.

It is the third year that the research, based on turnover, has been published with the aim of lifting the lid on local businesses who are leading from the front and showcasing the world-class businesses in Derby and Derbyshire.

Speaking at the launch event held at the University, John Forkin of Marketing Derby said "This list captures the nature of our vibrant local economy and, as well as including some of the ubiquitous large corporates, it is interesting to see the number of dynamic SMEs in growth.”
