A planning application has been submitted to Bondholder Derby City Council for a proposed development in a popular residential area on Kedleston Road.
The proposed scheme comprises a new four storey brick building encompassing 14 two bedroom apartments ranging in size from 69 – 74 square metres.
The proposed development will be of a similar height to the neighbouring dwellings. The apartments will each have two double bedrooms and two bathrooms to make them appealing to a wide range of potential occupants.
Bondholder Matthew Montague Architects said: “The proposal seeks to create a sustainable development not just in terms of carbon footprint but also by providing an attractive and safe environment for an integrated community.
Generous and flexible living spaces enjoying good day-lighting and privacy levels will make for a high quality of life, encouraging residents to remain and promoting a stable and familiar community."
A planning decision is expected at the end of January.
