Scouting for volunteers

Chair of Bondholder Pennine Healthcare Liz Fothergill is currently Vice President of Derbyshire Scouts and is actively supporting their growth.

Derbyshire Scouts are growing, providing Skills for Life and adventure to over 8,000 young people each week. They currently have over 2,000 volunteers providing amazing opportunities however they need more brilliant people to be part of their growing team.

Scouting is making a real difference to young people living in and around Derby City, but they want to do even more. There are currently over 200 young people on waiting lists to join Scouting in Derby and they need more help to provide great opportunities to as many people as possible.

Encourage your employees to volunteer and put your skills to great use, learn new ones and play an active role in your local community. Get involved and give young people the skills they need to succeed in life and discover how being part of the Scouting family can be as rewarding for you as it is for them.

Volunteering is easier than you think. Derbyshire Scouts offer full support and training, you can volunteer on a flexible basis and learn new skills that are valuable for both employees and employers.
