Bondholder Future Proof Films brought global giants Microsoft and Claranet to Derby, to create a series of videos promoting the cloud capabilities of Office 365.

The series, which was completed earlier this year, was shot around Derby and Derbyshire, using locations such as Sadler Gate, Connect Derby’s state-of-the-art iHub building, the gorgeous cafe setting of RASK (based in Sadler Bridge Studios) and Belper based recording studio, Sound Hub Studios.

As well as using a number of Derby locations, Future Proof Films also made use of freelance creatives to grow the team for the shoot, further utilising the homegrown talent in Derby. Robert Dawes, one of the Directors at Future Proof Films, said, “There’s an absolute wealth of creative talent in Derby. Which is one of the reasons most of our favourite projects and clients exist within our great home city.”

Drew Taylour-Davis, fellow Director at Future Proof Films, said, “We create a lot of work for clients all around the world, with a lot of our work being based in London for London-based and international clients. So it’s incredible being able to use Derby as a backdrop for a video series for one of the biggest companies in the world. Being able to use Sadler Gate, for instance, is an absolute dream as it’s such a great looking street and one of Derby’s many charming features.”

The series has been a huge success, being shown at the Microsoft Inspire conference in Las Vegas in July and, more recently, translated into several other languages to be rolled out around the globe later this year. Matt Castle, Communications Manager at Claranet said, “We've worked with Future Proof Films multiple times before and they always deliver great quality content. This series is no different - they’re incredible.”
